Traditional Scottish Dyes and how to make them Jean FraserThis is a useful resource of historical recipes for wild plants in the UK. Colour: Making and Using Dyes and Pigments François Delamare; Bernard GuineauAn easy to read book on the history of colourants with lots of good pictures. Natural Processes in Textile Art Alice FoxA great focus on working with iron and found objects. The Art and Science of Natural Dyes Principles, Experiments, and Results Joy Boutrup, Catharine EllisUseful for going in to the subtle science of natural dyes, indigo dyeing, and printmaking. Handbook of Natural Colorants Thomas Bechtold Rita MussakIf you want to seriously go deeper in to the science of plant dyes.
